Gandidzanwa Jacob Mujeye was born on May 21, 1951 in Makoni, Zimbabwe.

Jacob had a strong passion for farming and agriculture. That passion took him to Solusi College in 1981-2 where he completed a certificate in farming. He worked at the East Zimbabwe Field of the Seventh Day Adventist Church farm in Harare from 1983-1991. He was transferred to Ruya Adventist Secondary School’s farm where he worked from 1991 until his retirement in 2009. He briefly worked at his farm in Mt. Darwin until he joined his children in the US in 2010. He continued to follow his passion in the US where he rented small plots in Northern Kentucky.

Many things brought joy to Jacob, however, he enjoyed spending time with his children more than anything. He made an effort to spend time with his children whenever he could, especially around holidays like Thanksgiving.

Jacob was a man of Faith. He was the first one in his family to be baptized in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He strongly believed in the power of prayer. In his final days, he urged his wife, children and loved ones to keep the faith so they can all meet at the Sea of Glass.

Jacob was preceded in death by his father Douglas Mukundu, brothers Masimba Mukundu, Peter Mukundu, and daughter, Delight Mujeye Nyasvisvo. Jacob is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Midia (Gutu) Mujeye, mother Evelyn Mukundu, parents in law Pastor O.T. & Susan Gutu. Siblings Philip Mutse, Leonard Mukundu & Francisca (Mukundu) Mbiriyedenga. Children Douglas (Christine) Mujeye, Stephen (Precious) Mujeye, Shelly (Kudzai) Machamire, Denford (Marble) Mujeye, Sympathy Mujeye, Kudakwashe Mujeye and Son-in-law Collin Nyasvisvo. Grandchildren- Jacob, Joslyn, Naishe, Nillan, Stephen Jr., Kim, Sheva, Rutendo, Kudzai, Aiden, Elise, Nyasha & Natalia.
