I am always so grateful to read a message from my step-father's former students. You don't know how much it means to us to know that he had an impact on the lives of others. We think of him often, and especially on this day. Thank you for your continued love and support.

I remember Gar very well in my years at Chet... the Mikes, Fisher and West, used to frustrate him to no end and I regret to say that I probably added to the situation-just to get his goat, he is and was a beautiful teacher, who served his task on earth with grace and humor. Shop class I remember, and all of us in 6-8 grade back when we each had our own lockers! God Bless Gar Brancheau and all of my teachers, we were heavily blessed to have him, I only wish I could have said that right to him! Many priceless lessons are learned long after the instruction has taken place....

Rest in Sweet Peace,

Dave Dillon grateful student of Gar Brancheau

Over 40 years ago we called him Mr. B. in wood shop at Chet Harritt, great teacher, sparked my love of wood working, and remember him getting on us for not taking shop safety seriously. Thanks Mr. B for sparking that interest in me......

There's not enough space to say all that Gar means to me. He has been a wonderful friend for over 20 years...a roomate for 7 years in PQ...the best man in my wedding...a mentor as a handyman...a brother in Christ. This is not goodbye...I will see you again at our eternal reunion. Thank you for being a good friend. You ran your race well!

Sometimes our lives touch someone else's when we least expect it. I'm so glad Kay that you met someone as special as Gar and got 'under his skin'. God let you experience some special times and love again together. I hate that his time on earth was cut short, but it's great to know he's with Jesus and will be waiting to meet you again, this time forever. I'll remember our NC Riverboat ride.

I knew Gar as Kay's loving husband and so thankful that I had a chance to know him. I know he touched many lives as he was such a giving, caring man. He will be missed here on earth but He is in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.

Gar, you were a very special person, and I shall remember how caring and thoughtful you were. Most important is that you let your love for Jesus show in the way you interacted with others. You have graduated to heaven a bit early, and we'll miss seeing you now, but just know we'll join you later.

What a wonderful site! I love the picture (in the suit) you posted of Gar! Most of my memories of him are from before Gar and Kay were married...as we had lots of fun times in the New Hope Church singles group and Bible Study. Gar and Kay hosted many of our fun events. I love that The Lord put the two of you together with a happy, loving marriage centered in Jesus!

I thought of the name 'Gar Brancheau' today.  Amazingly, I search and found him.  I am sorry to hear of his passing, but am so proud to have known him for such a short time.  Circa '71-72 +, we met at the Catholic Newman Center at SDSU.  He was a wonderful, sincere gentlemen with great integrity.  God Bless him and his family always.

It was a pleasure to have known Gar.  His love for Jesus was evident in the way he lived, and his obvious delight in helping others.  So glad we will meet again some day in our "permanent" home.
