So glad that we had a chance to chat, talk and catch up after fifteen years since you moved back to Chicago from L.A. It brought me much joy. I will miss you.

Mr. Guy, The one thing, we had in common was travel, and now you, are off on your "FINAL", journey, which we all will have to make. Meeting you, through my brother "Bill", made you, my adopted brother, as I always teased you, so, continue on your travel, until we all meet again.

A friend that I had known for 40 years...we even moved to LOs Angeles at the same time and had a ball while we lived there. He will truly be missed.

Guy was and is my best friend. He was my go to person to talk about anything and everything. My 40 friendship ended to sadly. One day I know I will laugh often at a lot of our conversations. Right now I am just sad.

A Few Things to Remember About Guy …

Friend -When he was your friend, he was a great friend! He was always most thoughtful in his ways of giving to and supporting his friends.

Favorite Things - His dot clock was one of his favorite possessions. He gave versions of the dot clock to his closest friends. The clock is a true work of digital art, produced in limited editions. He always said, “make sure Glenn gets the clock”. Also, he was proud of the wall clocks he created. Another favorite thing was playing Scrabble. He thought he was one of the best Scrabble players – he was. Finally, this is one of Guy’s favorite times of the year – Oscar season. He had much fun going around the city and suburbs to see all the nominated “best” in movies before Oscar night.

Music – His love of music was evident in many ways – his massive collection of music videos, his quest to be a great guitar player and, oh yeah, Guy could really sing. What a treat it was to hear him sing a Frank Sinatra or Bobby Darin song. Some of his favorite musicians were Kenny Rankin, Ricki Lee Jones, Steve Winwood and Diana Krall.

Dancing - As for dancing, he was part of Chicago’s true ”steppin” community as one of the most respected and respectful of steppers.

May you rest in peace Guy,
Roberta

Guy,
You were such a joy to be around. I am glad that we met. The stories and visuals you shared were very impressive and entertaining. I admired your outlook on life and your wisdom. You lived life as if you would live forever and that showed your resilience and strength. The day you transitioned left me in disbelief because you always seemed to bounce back in the past. I know that a higher source had another assignment for you and I know that your soul will replicate your actions here on earth. I hope we meet again. God Bless Your Soul. I miss you dearly! Love you Guy!❤️❤️
