Mr. Gary "Teenie" Hood was born Sept. 7, 1955, in Youngstown, a son of Ira Hood Sr. and Portia Thomas Hood.

He graduated from East High School in 1973 and retired from the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co.

He has five children, Adrena N. Foster, Gary M. Jr., Tiera L., Leon L. and Juan D. Hood,; five sisters, Renee Grant, Janice Mahone Judith Sanders  and Antoinette (Ronnie) Price and Portia (Donald) Rhodes; three brothers, Ira (Dorothy) Hood Jr., Daryl (Leslie) Hood and Jerry (Lesha) Hood ; and seven grandchildren, Dijon Foster, Dijay Day, Leartis Day Jr., Eddie Littleton, Devier Littleton, Tiona Hood and Tamia Hood. He also will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and cousins

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Eddie Hood; a sister, Carolyn Davis; and a brother, Alvin Hood.
