Rev. Gary Lynn Warner, Sr. passed into eternity on April 28, 2023.  He was born in Saginaw, Michigan on March 20, 1945 and married Sally K Schissler, also of Saginaw, August 7, 1965.  They ministered together in the American Baptist Convention, serving churches in Parr, Indiana; Sullivan, Illinois; Liberty Center, Indiana; Imlay City, Michigan; and Tipp City, Ohio. Together they had six children, Gary Lynn Warner, Jr., John Michael Warner, Benjamin Edwin Warner, Michele Louise Seale, Allen JW Schissler, and Jessie Kaye Downey.  After moving to Alabama in 1985, Gary and Sallie lived in Mountain Brook and Leeds.  Gary was the owner of Cease Fire!, a fire extinguisher servicing company. He married secondly Deanna Otwell, who preceded him in death.

Gary returned to ministry in his retirement, living in Irondale, and serving in the Celebrate Recovery ministry at Hope Community Church.  He has been united with his Savior, and with his loved ones who preceded him, including his parents, Hubert Earl and Esther Altheda (Purdy) Warner, and his sister Janice Ann Tunget of Woodstock, Georgia.
