Gary was a major factor in our SCRUM Team's success. He was not one to let go when our team encountered an obstacle impacting our delivery schedule. When we reached a point where we could not overcome the obstacle on our own, he gathered the facts, took action right away and worked to get resolution or a viable alternative. Gary also made sure we had a bit of respite and lightheartedness during our stand ups. Gary's skills as our ScrumMaster were right on target. He was the best example of servant leadership in action. I will miss Gary. I keep his memory in my heart.

Hope you're eating your superfoods and healthy bowls after a giant slalom mountain bike ride. Your smile and wry jokes will be missed. Thoughts and prayers.

Gary was our Agile Scrum Master and a great asset to the team as we struggled through many challenges. I've always appreciated his desire to get to the truth, to be honest even when it was difficult, and his commitment to resolving problems with the team. We'd often think things were not possible or too difficult to resolve, but Gary would walk through it with us and go the extra mile to make sure that a resolution was found, or everyone was satisfied that we'd done our best to resolve. His positive attitude and assistance were greatly appreciated. He was always so proud of his kids and was never shy about his love of being a Dad. We'll miss Gary.

I'm thankful to God for the blessing of working with Gary, and thankful to him and his family for the sacrifices they made in regard to his career. You're in our prayers.

Gary was solid. Always there to listen to me. Coached me up and never gave me BS. That's what I appreciated most about him. He kept it real with me. Told me when I was wrong, and confirmed with me when he thought I was right.

Ill root for the Sox for you buddy, unless they are playing the Cardinals.... but you already knew that.

I had the pleasure to work with Gary. I admired his ability to be honest, caring, hard working, funny (even when the joke didn't necessarily land with the audience!!), and most importantly himself. With very few people is "what you see, is what you get" a reality. With Gary that seemed to be the case. To his family, thank you for sharing him with us and know that you will always be in our thoughts.

Gary, sad to hear about the incident during this weekend's Ironman Triathalon. You are an awesome Agile Coach and you will be sorely missed. i consider you to be a friend and will miss your friendship.

I am confident that you are in a more peaceful restful place now. I hope to see you again at the Resurrection, my friend.

Jessica, please remember that God will never forsake you or your daughters even in the darkest of times. Though seasons come and go, His promises are eternal.

Celebrating a Caring and Authentic Man

May 4, 2021
I worked with Gary over the past two years and BCI. He was devoted to his family and shared about them often. His entire face would light up when he relayed their funny antics during COVID and how much he enjoyed being so close during those long months of staying at home.

He was always cheerful and giving. A positive influence on the team - leading with vulnerability and authenticity.

Gary, you will be missed. Safe journey until we meet again.

Gary, you will be missed

May 4, 2021
I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Gary over this past year. Though we didn't have frequent interactions in our remote existence, my limited interactions with him truly made an impact on me. I started working at BCI when the company went completely remote and my boss was called to military duty two weeks after I started. As I was trying to get my bearings, one of the opportunities I had was to help with the tool simplification effort. On a few different efforts over the course of my first months with BCI, Gary would volunteer the two of us to take on a some different tasks. He has no idea how much I appreciated that simple gesture. As someone who was feeling a bit lost trying to navigate my new role with no boss and a new remote workplace, I really appreciated someone buddying up with me on these work tasks. I always felt like he intuitively knew that I needed that and I don't think I ever told him how much that meant to me. There was always such a sincerity that Gary had in everything he said and did. Gary was a regular at our "virtual meet-ups" that we hold every other week. One time when we were still dealing with the effects of COVID and kids being at home doing their school, some of us were joking about the constant interruptions and noises of that situation. I don't remember exactly what Gary said, but he made such a sincere comment about how much he enjoyed being with his children and how precious that time was. I could tell what an amazing husband and father he must be by the way he spoke about his family. Gary, you will truly be missed!

Great and Genuine Man

May 4, 2021
I worked with Gary for a short time. It is funny to say worked because I feel we talked more about life and family than actual work. One of his favorite topics to bring up was his kids. He genuinely loved his wife and kids and it was apparent that he thought a lot about them. He loved their curiosity and sweet nature.

I loved that Gary was someone who would cut right to the chase. He would dive into whatever interested him headfirst, whether it was a topic that interested him or a new activity.

Gary’s faith and openness to discuss thoughts was never questioned. It was a breath of fresh air to discuss thoughts and ideas and feelings with him.

Til we meet again!
