This memorial website was created in memory of my brother, Gary Holley, 54 years old, born on October 9, 1966, and passed away on January 27, 2021. We will remember him forever.
He was the love of my life, my best friend and a man who never let me down. As a child growing up he spent his time at our grandparents house in McKinney, Rev. Otis Holley and Mrs. Ora D Holley. He later moved to Richardson, Texas with our mom and my dad. Gary attended Richardson High School where he was a track star, amazing student and good friend to many. He graduated in 1985 and later attended Lamar University and The Art Institute of Dallas and Los Angeles.
Gary was known to many and after living and working hard in Dallas, Tx he decided to move to California. He was able to venture to other cities but later moved back to California and made that his home. He was a very successful man and made a bigger name for himself working for companies like Long Beach Acceptance Corp, Wells Fargo and Mechanics Bank Auto Finance where he was a National Recovery Operations Manager.
Gary will be missed but never forgotten, he definitely made his mark in this world and after two kidney transplants and other medical issues he still continued to move forward with pride and dignity. All the pain and fight was well worth it and he earned his crown and his wings. He was called home to be with the lord and i know his job here on earth was done, it was done well and done with unconditional love. Thank you brother for everything and you will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace King
He leaves behind to cherish all of his memories Felix Holley(Husband), Stacie Doss( Sister), Christian Perry(Godson) a host of friends who turned out to be best friends and family for life ,Cristina Perry, Troy Marsh, Jamey Dehne and Sherese Jackson. When the lord called Gary home he was reunited with his mother Pauline Holley Doss, His Grandparents, Rev Otis Holley Sr and Mrs. Ora D Holley, his nephew DaDa(DaShawn Ja’meer Jackson) his father, aunts and uncles  and two childhood friends.

On January 27, 2021 at 1:13pm I lost my best friend. Gary Wayne Holley who I called piglet went on to his next chapter. I will be forever grateful for his unconditional love and friendship. I will never have a brother and friend like Gary again. Gary had this ability to treat all of the people he loved with respect and kindness no matter what was going on in his life he put you first. There is not enough words to describe our 30 year friendship from California Texas and New Jersey we lived and worked together. He was and always be my super hero and I miss him every day. May u be still with Miss Pauline and Poppa Holley and Ora Dee Holley. Watch over us Gary like u always have. Love and miss my friend !

I have so much that like a movie i dont know where to start. So i will use words, Loveable, handsome, Smart, intelligent. He loved his mom and sister so much, raised in Mckinney where we all lived, he was my little brother, we had no brothers and my parents had no boys but they did in Gary and Brad, I watched him grow into à man. When he came to visit from California if I knew about it i was there to see him and meet a couple of his friends. I will miss ya darling

What a blessing You were to so many, myself included...you are a one of a kind individual that knew how to bring out the best in all of us, made us believe in ourselves, and created pathways for us most of us never thought possible! I loved our many laughs, our tough conversations, and mostly the gift you had of just listening and reassuring me that I would be ok through life’s challenges! You have touched my life in ways only you and I know, my family loved you as well, I’m so glad I was able to share YOU with them...God is getting a great one in Heaven! Forever...my special friend...❤️

Harpo,
I was 25 or 26yrs old when you arrived in NJ and my life. On your first day at Long Beach Acceptance, I walked into your office, handed you my resignation letter and said, "I'm leaving the company but wanted to wish you well". I ended up staying and were inseparable ever since. The word friendship didn't have enough depth to describe our love; therefore, you gained another sister, I another brother and Dada added to his uncles.

Through the years we shared so much by way of laughter, pain, undeniable truths, healing, love, joy, growth, sadness but most of all forgiveness. You held a front row seat to my story and loved me unconditionally. In fact, your love was instrumental in shaping the woman I stand to be today. As you know, I always find the blessing in every lesson. I'm blessed with two angels because my guys are together. Kiss DaDa for me.

With all my love,
Shug

Gary and I met at Mitsubishi Motors Credit and then both ended up at Wells Fargo. Gary has been a remarkable co-worker and friend who always encouraged me to continue to grow and develop and not limit myself. Our talks will never ever be forgotten he could take you from the board room to the streets in his famous “reads”. Gary played no games and when you had him as a friend you could depend on his loyalty and realness. Heaven definitely gained an amazing Angel. Rest well my friend... see you on the other side

I met Gary when I worked for WFS in 2004 in La Palma, CA.  He was a great person always with the big smile on his face, I Will never forget what he told me once when I was upset “ shake it off, rise it up, and stomp it out” I still remember him doing the motions. And to be honest I say that to myself all the time when I get upset or I can’t deal with things. Although I worked with him for about 8 to 9 months he was a great person with a beautiful heart. Rest in peace.

How blessed are we!

Oh Gary! How blessed were we all to have had you in our lives! I have had the pleasure of working alongside Gary for the past 4 years. He was a great leader, mentor and friend to both me and my family. Such a strong and kind spirit. We shared many ideas, tons of laughs and endless stories. Gary was one of the best listeners. I enjoyed hearing his stories of his many and younger years in the industry and we would laugh at how times have changed. He shared many stories of his childhood, his grandparents, his mother and one of the loves of his life, his sister Stacy. The Lord has always surrounded me with great people and Gary was one of the best. I will remember all the life lessons he has shared with me. He challenged me, but was always right there in my corner. Continued daily prayers for Felix and all of Gary’s family and friends, May God’s peace fill your hearts.
