Yesterday in honor of you Gayle, and the way you lived your life, I spent the entire day without work emails and phone calls. I luxuriated in the pool like you used to love to do. I took a walk on the beach. I phoned some close friends. You continue to inspire me to be the best person I can be; this is the greatest gift you ever gave me. Thinking of you makes me happy.

Gayle, you ere one of only two people who came to me when I first started at Embassy and said if there was every anything I needed, I could always count on you. You were a bright shining light in my life and I learned much from you. I am so sorry to be leaving this tribute to you, I would much rather be visiting you in Mexico as you enjoy your well earned retirement. For now, aloha!

Gayle, I waited on you at Duke's. You were singly sitting at a bar stool savoring one of a few martinis when you asked me about me. One thing led to another and now my life is completely changed. I have new friends, a new career and a new appreciation for life because of you. You have my deepest Aloha. See you soon, Jeremy

.For 21 years Gayle was always there for me, whenever I was in trouble, she was there to pull me out, and support me, and guide me. She always wanted to be a Contessa. Well you're a Contessa now Gayle. You touched so many people, across this globe, the whole world is mourning her loss. I just got to be ONE of the lucky ones, that could call her my dear friend. Aloha Contessa!

Gayle, you are so missed by those you left behind, here in Earth School. I can feel your presence all around me, and I can feel the light that you've become. I can also hear your voice, telling me that at the end of your life the only thing that will matter, was the TIME you spent with those you love. Thank you for spending years and years with me, my sweet friend.

What would Gayle Do?

October 18, 2012

When I first met Gayle in the early 90's, I used to watch her pound her fist on the clients table, and tell them, not to worry about the money, because the only thing that mattered at the end of the day, was the time they spent with the ones they loved.  Well whenever, I was stumped with what to say next to my clients to get them to buy, I would think about Gayle. I was not comfortable with banging my fist on a table, and all that...........but, I thought, well exactly what WOULD Gayle do?  Then I'd remember what she would have done and said, and I would pretend to be Gayle, and as I embodied her, I could say and do the same things.  Guess they call that acting!  Now, I've written a book about my life, and there's a chapter in it, called "What would Gayle do?"  I never got the chance to tell her, that I'd written a chapter with that title.  Guess she knows now!

The love of music/ I hope you dance

September 11, 2012

One of the stories I would love to tell and a part of Gayle that I will remember is her love of music and singing.  When there was music she would move her body and sing.  My daughter hosted my 60th birthday party and I will always remember Gayle with a full smile and the expression of music through her body.  All of us know that to be true for her.  So I wanted to play this song in her honor.  I can see her dancing with her grandchildren.  So if they watch this someday I would like them to pretend they are dancing with her.  She will smile on them from heaven.
