Gene LeRoy Jorgensen was born December 18, 1940 at Carroll, Nebraska to Christian & Esther (Bargstadt) Jorgensen.  They lived in many small towns around northeastern Nebraska.  Gene had three brothers & three sisters.  Brothers were Richard, Jimmy & Marinus.  Sisters were Alice, Darlene & Cheryl.
Gene graduated from Belden High School in 1959.
