Tributes
Leave a tributeSaturday morning we got the bad news that we lost one of the really really good ones. Gene had an incredible marketing sense and was one of the best story tellers I have ever worked with. His commercials stood out and made people pay attention. Him and I had some of the best Marketing philosophy and Advertising theory conversations, he was so much fun to talk to. Gene Floro you will be greatly missed.

The Ski Promotion
Gene used to laugh about this story about when he and his co-host on the morning show in Des Moines decided to challenge each other to a skiing contest! They promoted it on their morning show..chided each other. The...the big day arrived. Problem is ----Gene had never been on a pair of skis!!
Yep! Imagine what happened.
Yes...you most probably imagined correctly!
Gene and I often exchanged memories of our days in radio! The crazy promotions, the people we worked with....
Sure miss those conversations!!
