You come across thousands of people in your life, but Chip was one of the memorable ones. I actually owe him so much for all his kindness to me since the day we met (on an airline to Spain) that I will never be able to repay. It saddens me greatly that we lost touch in the last couple decades and is a life lesson in keeping your good friends close.
My deepest sympathies to the Gathercole women. You hear this a lot but your Dad was truly one of a kind.
