It is with great sadness that the family of George Conrad Zink II, of Creedmoor, NC (formerly of Ellicott City, MD), announces his death on January 3, 2018, due to complications in surgery.

Conrad was born on November 26, 1941, in Arbutus, MD. He was a graduate of the McDonogh School in Owings Mills and obtained a degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland. Conrad spent his working life with the US federal government, first at the Social Security Administration, and later at the Health Resources and Services Administration. An avid boater, he enjoyed many weekends on the Chesapeake Bay with his family and dear friends.

Conrad will be forever remembered by his wife of 45 years, Kathy (née Link), his sons Richard (Sarah) and Michael (Susan), and his grandchildren Isabel, Savannah, Eli, and Abram, all of NC.

A celebration of Conrad’s life will be held on Saturday, January 27, at 2:00 pm at Creedmoor United Methodist Church, 214 Park Ave., Creedmoor, NC, with a reception following.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
