This memorial website was created in memory of our beloved son George Avery. We were so very blessed to have him in our lives for 20 years. George has a beautiful soul, he loved with his whole heart, and will be forever missed by all who knew him.
George gave us so many wonderful memories, he was creative, intelligent, and had a wonderful sense of humor. George was a wonderful son, brother, a friend to all, who spread joy wherever he went. He enjoyed cooking and sharing his creations with friends and coworkers. George always made time to lend a supportive ear when needed. George had so much to offer this world but was taken from us too soon.
We love to hear stories about George, please feel free to share your memories of George with us.

George it’s been 4 years and has time flown by. I’m married now and becoming an audio engineer. Back then I told you all of the crazy things I will aspire to do and achieving them has felt so satisfying. I love the reminders you leave for me in my life that you are here to support me with Jordan also. The 3 of us were the three little goofballs that had hearts of desire to learn and change and make everyone around us happy. 3 kids that were tied by life since elementary school. George I miss you everyday, but the fact the changed my life is something that will always have you in my heart and soul. I love you and the family more than I could ever describe.
Missing you terribly, George, as always but especially this weekend. Tried to keep busy. I can't believe it has been four years already. We all love and miss you so much! Thank you so much for the signs ❤️
George always made us laugh with his stories and the best drawings. When he was a little boy, he always loved coming over for dinner with his family. Our pets always gravitated to him, especially the cats. A gentle loving soul and they knew it! Missing you friend. ❤️
Thinking of George and his family today. Abbi, Sam, Ben and I have the fondest memories of being neighbors and friends of them all. Being able to see the world thru George's eyes was a special gift that we have all lost.
Merry Christmas <3 Been thankful for you being with me. Getting married soon and I know you would be so stoked. Love you man.
Hello George and Happy Belated Birthday from Dennis, Nayomi and myself! Sorry we missed it yesterday but I am sure you know why. We remember your smiling face and think of you often.
Keep smiling down on all of us,
Love,

Happy birthday, George Your memory lives on in my classroom. Your different drawings of Mousy decorate the walls and the kids love seeing your creations.
I cannot believe that George has been gone 3 years now and it has to be even more incomprehensible for his family. His personality was larger than life and I have to believe that it is shining thru in the heavens. His energy & enthusiasm for whatever he was doing was contagious to those around him. George will always be in my heart and the heart of my kids who are so very proud to call him a friend. George, I hope heaven is full of art, music and creativity for you.
George was an amazing person him and Kyle were so close I met George through Kyle! George may you keep playing music in heaven! Miss u buddy
My family has known George and his family since they first moved to town years ago. It was so great to be friends and neighbors! George was always right in the middle of all our get-togethers, sharing his great stories, humor and artwork. He had a way about him that was enveloping and comforting and with such a great smile! It was easy to love George, a kind and gentle old-soul. We will forever miss him and his shining light. Peace and love to you George.
George was an exteremely brilliant man. During our shop days he tought me something new almost daily. He was one of the kindest, gentlest souls Ive ever met. Literally the type of guy to give you the shirt off his back. George felt like a brother to me, he was always there to talk when times got tough. We had lots of adventures together, lots of laughs and even some cries. Seriously gone way too soon. I think about him and my friend Seth daily and I know theyre watching over me every day. George if youre reading this I love and miss you immensely. You're gone but totally not forgotten.
George, you were a great addition to our family, the great friend you were to Nayomi, the things you helped her through. You were there for her in her time of need after her car accident, just dropping plans to come here and cheer you up when I told you she was at her lowest and lonely, when no one besides her father and I were here for her. You always had a way with words and a great sense of life. Always smiling even when you were so late Nayomi wanted to kick your butt...lol! We loved having you with us when we went to the drag races in New York, you were way too funny! You may have left but you left us with wonderful memories and a great sense of life. Your legacy lives on forever in all of our hearts George. ❤
George it has been over 2 years now. I have had a lot of coping to do since you left. But man I will tell you it is with upmost happiness that I have made it to a stage in my life that I know you are still here to guide me and be the angel around me. I love you so very much each and every day and want to thank God for Donna for making such a beautiful website.
Love you brother, everyday and always will <3

Tattoo to symbolize Guitar Walks we went on any time of day/night. Jamming, loving our time together

Mall trip, we may have walked out of that place with costumes afterwards.

George and I used to have Bon fires, including mattresses and cabinets. Maybe not so safe :P

Christmas memories
George was typically scheduled to work on Christmas Day in the last 5 years we had with him. I would try to get him to speak up and request the day off early but it wasn't always possible, mostly because he would wait a little too long and he was just too nice to push it. We would make sure we had some of his favorite food and presents ready for him and he would enjoy visiting with family before they left. George was off on the last Christmas before he passed away and oh...how I wish I took more pictures.
We have lots of wonderful Christmas memories with George. He enjoyed Mythbusters, the Hobbit, video games (Halo, Minecraft), t-shirts with funny messages on them, and loved watching and sharing funny videos and pictures/cartoons. George was always drawing and creating so he would also love to receive some nice sketch paper and nice pencils for drawing or paints and canvas. Merry Christmas George! Love you always! ❤️

Kyle, George and Jeremy, Open Mic Night
George's friend Kyle performed at various venues in the area, at open mic nights and on a couple of occasions he brought George and Jeremy along with him. Many times, Kyle would ask George to join him to sing a few songs and it meant so much to him. Thank you Jeremy for taking these videos, they are treasured.
My Boys & George
I can still remember when Gordon & Donna moved into our neighborhood along with their boys. My boys, Sam & Ben, were thrilled to have boys around their age only 2 houses away. The four of them would play for endless hours either at our house, The Avery's house, my parents house(which was in the middle) or outside endless amounts of time. They could easily play with Legos, make a fort, or video games but what always stood out to me was George's unbelievable creativity. Not only was he the most creative of the group, but he had such passion about what he was doing. I cannot even count all of the times he would stop over the house to show me something he had built or drawn with such pride and explaining all of the details to me. My boys still cherish their memories with The Avery Boys. We were devastated when we learned of the loss of George and will remember him and his family always.
