The son of the late George and Lassie Flowers Alexander, Mr. Flowers was born in Omaha, GA and was a member of Canaan Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and was very active with the Sunday School. He was retired from Columbus Foundries, and was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. 

Survivors include: his sons, Rev. David G. Flowers, Sr. (Sandra), Gerald E. Flowers and George E. Flowers, Jr.; three daughters, Alice T. Green (Lewis), Bridgette Walton and Victoria Walton; ten grandchildren, and his Church family who he dearly loved.
