Nine weeks

November 12, 2014

It is coming up to nine weeks since George passed away and it seems like eternity.
I just never realised how I depended on him so much. I only had to mention once about any job I needed done in the house and he was right on to it and making a fantastic job of anything he did tackle,
I also didn't realise just how useless I am with a drill etc: I went to put a new blade in the stanley knife yesterday and couldn't work that out, so I was left feeling very annoyed with myself. I am sure I will get better at these jobs, how hard can it be!!!!!
The shop also misses him so much, he was fantastic at approaching people with fudge samples and was always very enthusiastic to explain about  all the fudges we sell and told people very proudly that the fudge was made on the premises. He was a very good enthusiastic sampler. We felt very lucky to have him on board at big events, he would always help in anything we asked him to. We miss him so much

50 Shades of Magnolia

September 12, 2014

This was at the time 50 shades of grey was in the top 10 book sales.George was always decorating for me bless him, and one day he said he was going round the house to touch up on scuffs and scratches, so I left him to it and toddled off to work.
When I got in he looked a little bit worried and when I asked him why he said to save money he just went through all the tins in the shed that had Magnolia in and proceeded to cover each and every scuff mark with a different shade of the bloody stuff. He did seen quite chuffed when I told him my new name for him was 50 shades of Magnolia.
I did forgive him but he had the house to decorate from top to bottom
