He was born in East pike run township,The son of the Late Leslie J.Grimes and Lovie B.Carpentar Grimes. He was a Retired Coal Miner. He was also a U.S. Airforce Veteran, Having served with the52cd Bomb squad. He was a member of Garwood Baptist Church. He is survived by  His wife Mary and six Children, Gary l , Georgette (tootsie),Tammy, Scott, George, Holly. He has 7 Grandchildren , Two Great Grandchildren.  Two Brothers Walter, Ted ,A sister Thelma ,A  Late sister Marie and Brother Glenn. Several Nieces and Nephews.
