My favorite story of Pop's is the one he told me about when he was an altar boy in the Catholic Church when he was a kid. (Hard to believe already, I know, but true nonetheless!) At any rate, he was there, performing his altarly duties, when Jesus literally stood there right in front of him and said to him, "I love you son."

Thus began Dad's lifelong belief in and faith in Jesus Christ.
