OBITUARY
We rejoice in the life of one of God's spirit filled, loving, kind and generous women. Georgia Mae was born on September 24, 1942 to the late Annie Bell Tarver and Sam Douglas Sr., in Midway, Alabama. Georgia moved to Brighton, Alabama at an early age where she accepted Christ and joined Peace Baptist Church in Brighton, Alabama. She graduated from Brighton High School in 1960.
She was united in marriage in marriage to Henry W. Lee, Jr. in 1963 and to this union a son Henry W. Lee, III and a daughter Kimberley Michele Lee was born. Georgia worked as a photolab supervisor at CVS pharmacy formally known as Big B Drugs and retired in 2007 after 37 years of service. She later worked with Home-N-Stead as a sitter/caretaker until 2016.
Georgia remarried in 1994 to Israel Clinton Sr. She and Israel became members of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until her illness/death. She made her Heavenly transition on Monday, October 19, 2020. She was preceded in death by her mother-Annie Bell Tarver, father-Sam Douglas Sr. and brothers Lester Tarver and Theodis Douglas.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, a devoted husband, Israel Clinton Sr., Birmingham, AL.; son-Henry W. Lee, III; daughter-Kimberley (Horace) Kynard Birmingham, AL.
Sisters: Ruth Tarver, Brighton, Al; Mary J. (Fred) King, Midway, Al; and JoAnn Eaton, Columbus, Ga. Brothers: Rev. Fred (Blancha) Douglas, Abraham (Doris) Douglas, and Marvin (Beverly) Parker, all of Midway, AL. Sisters in Law Vera Tarver (Brighton, Al), Dorothy Simmons (Greensboro, AL.), Betty Clinton (Huntsville, AL) and Brother in Law Jimmy Clinton (GA) and Willie James Clinton (IL)
Special family: Janice (Albert) Andrews, Anita Cochran, Jessica (Rev. Vastine) Simmons, Antionette Lee, George and Lois Faulks, Jamika King.
Grandsons: Dontarius Minter, Alton Minter, Mario Minter, Daren Ward, Tyler Kynard, Dearmis J. Clinton, Frank Murray, III and Michael Clinton
Granddaughters: Ashley Lee, Kiera Thomas, Jalessa Clinton, Vanessa Clinton, Cashmere Clinton and Quinisha Brown.
