Housework

May 29, 2015

Have to laugh at this memory, funny the things we think of. Monday's was always washing and ironing day, start hung cotton sheets and pairing socks, which meant we always has Stew for tea, I hated stew, funny now, cos I love it. Thursday afternoons was the day we had to clean our bedrooms, it was always a big deal to us, but I don't know why, cos they were always spotless clean and tidy, just like the rest of the house. We never had to do anything else at home, you did everything, even polished our shoes. You were always sowing and knitting in the evenings after working in the house all day, but Dad did have 2 jobs, one in the day, and another in the evenings at times.so that is how we rolled, us kids were waited on hand and foot, and you never ever complained, you just got on with it. Things are so different these days, machines for everything, lol, how times have changed.

Golden Wedding

May 29, 2015

I remember that night so well, you in your midnight blue dress Mum, and Dad in his suit and bow tie, you were in pain with your back, but you still has a dance with Dad, watched by the family and friends, that was the last time you partied, the last time you danced, but I was wise enough to capture it on video, so I could watch the memory of yours and dads Golden Wedding Anniversary. So many memories tucked away....Thankyou for all you did, one in a million
