On Wednesday June 8, 2022, Gerald Bradford Camp, 75, went to his heavenly home.
He was born on October 31, 1946.
He was preceded in death by infant brother W.E. Camp, parents, Waverly Edward Camp Sr. and Zora Martha (Bradford) Camp, of Hayden, Alabama.
Gerald is survived by his brothers Waverly Edward Camp Jr. (Brenda), Duaine Camp (Hilda), niece Angie Requena (Oscar), great nephews and nieces Jonathan(Torie), Amber (Caleb), Hunter, "Uncle Dalton"(Abby), niece Amy Camp Marley (Kyle) great nieces and nephews Reagan, Avery, Luke, and Mackenzie, and extended family Richard and Sandra Baker.
He is a graduate of Hayden High School. He was beloved by his family and host of friends, in and around the Red Hill community, where he was known as "Mayor" and "Hillbilly".
Gerald was funny, silly, handy, giving and very much the crazy uncle you were always warned about!
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Magnolia Ridge Nursing Home for his care, and making his stay there comfortable, for the last 15 months. Also to UAB CCU for the compassionate care and prayers.
We will all miss him so much! If you have an Uncle Gerald story, we would love to hear it!

Arrangements are as follows: Saturday, June 25, 2022 Graveside Service at 11:00 am at Mt. Zion Cemetery with reception to follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 2427 Corner Road, Warrior, Al 35180. All family, friends and neighbors are welcome to join us in celebrating our legendary Uncle Gerald Camp!
