Geraldine "Sylvia" Chalklett was the beloved daughter of the late Sylvester and Mary Summers and was the oldest of five children.  She is a 1964 graduate of East High School in Cleveland, Ohio.  Aunt Gerry was a former employee of Social Security Administration, James B Oswald Insurance Company and the State of Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation.

Gerry was actively involved with her community, volunteering with a number of organizations including the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center (1977- 1981), East High Alumni (1989- 2010), the Salvation Army, and the Langston Hughes Center.  She was also a major support of the United Negro College Fund. 

She leaves behind a host of family and friends.  She will be missed.
