I remember as a small child running over to Uncle Ted and Aunt Gerties house to play. Uncle Ted always had tinker toys or some gadget to play with. We would sit on the back porch and eat chocolate covered graham crackers (Aunt Gertie always had them). Bradley and I would climb up on the old leaning tree that was cut down years ago. I used to get in trouble for picking Aunt Gerties flowers. :-( I remember Aunt Gertie walking through the yard picking up sticks, tending to her flowerbeds and watering her plants. That is how I like to remember her. Any time I would walk in she'd offer a firm hug and a big kiss on the lips. She was a sweet lady, but she was tough. I loved playing with Aunt Gerties figurines in her bedroom and I enjoyed looking through her photographs. She will be missed deeply.
