Gertrude "Gertie" Kane was born June 18, 1927 in Dublin, Ireland. She was the eldest daughter of Joseph & Esther Larkin’s thirteen children. Gertie married the love of her life Christopher "Christy" Kane and they had four sons. After immigrating to the United States,Gertie lived in New York for over a decade before moving across the country to California. Gertie had an insatiable zest for life; she loved dancing, singing, and laughing. A loving sister, wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother; Gertie was preceded in death by her parents, ten siblings, her beloved sons John and David, and her loving husband Christy. She is survived by her sisters Joan and Vera, two sons Christopher and Joe, her daughter-in-law Cindy (David), Grandson David, Granddaughters Christine, Keirstin, Brittany, Lauren, and Courtney, Great-Grandchildren Kenley, Kellan, Callie, Jackson, Joey and Ally; as well as many nieces and nephews in the US and Europe. She was, and will always be loved and cherished by all who knew her.
