My name is Alexis and i am Gilberts grandaugter I am going to miss my grandpa so much. He was always such a happy guy my papa took very good care of me. I was told when i was a little baby when I would cry the only person who could calm me down was my papa.  My papa always had a smile on his face know matter what. But when I graduated high school my grandpa was so proud of me. I was so glad he was able to make it sents it was such a long drive but he told me he wouldnt of missed it  for the world and that same day my little cousin Riley said her first word (papa). Papa loved me and Riley so much we were his only biological  grandchildren, But he always considered my little sister and brothers as his grandchildern. My papa always called us his little sunshines. He always new how to put a smile on my face and always made me laugh my grandpa was always such a go getter and never gave up. He was always working  hard my grandpa will truly be missed and now its my  job to tell my little cousin Riley about him and how much he loved her. My mother would of liked to be here but she just got done with a major surgery so she wasnt able to make it but she will miss him truley.
I love you papa so much and he will always be in my heart know matter what i am proud to be his granddaughter and he will always be my papa I love you so much papa i am going to miss you so much it fells like a dream

Being the child most like my father I would like to start this off by thanking him for a few things. Thanks for teaching me how to change my oil, breaks and tires on my first car so I could be a safe and independent driver. Thank you for my sarcastic sense of humor although it may be a bit much at times for others it's who I am and who you were. Thank you for being there for me no matter what, you would have done anything for us kids and were greatly appreciated for that. You are the best Grandpa a girl could ask for and I know you will be with us on the next chapter in our lives. Can't wait to see you again DaddyO until then I hope I can continue to make you proud          Love Jess & Riley

I will always be your little girl daddy. You have taught me so much about life, what it really means to love unconditionally and how to be strong. I can fix and build almost anything because of you. I love football because of you. My passion for design, architecture and construction is because of you. You were always happy, always smiling, and care free. I promise I will worry and stress less. I will miss you sooooo much, but I know you will always watch over and protect me just like you always have. I know you are in heaven fixing it up for "one day" when we see you again.
