I will always remember Gilda with a great deal of warmth, fondness, and a smile because we had good times together when our children were small and attended Paul Keyes Grade school. We went to PTA meetings and Fridays we went "garage selling" and at times we enjoyed antiquing. Those were good days. After my divorce, I went to work full-time and our lives changed, but my feelings for my friend, Gilda, never would.

Gilda, So sorry that I lost touch with you over the years. You were a very "special" friend to me, and I did not know of your passing. I will always remember our "fun" times together, the laughs we shared with a smile. I think of you every time I open my "Cotton Country Collection cookbook you gave me for Christmas in 1979. Its with a touch of sadness that I send this note now, but you were loved and appreciated. Patty Gollaher

Another name for Gilda is LOVE. She and Jimmy had a love that made you feel warm when you were around them. They both had happy eyes that made you smile. Gildas voice was so soft and Her hug so special that you never wanted Her to leave. It was just that you got a hug when she left. A special lady, You have a hug and a special place in my heart, We all will miss You, Love Ray Dyson

What a wonderful woman your mother was Tabitha. What a wonderful loving, wife, mother and grandmother to both you and Brandi's children. I am so so very sorry for your loss. She looks so happy in all of the photos and you can tell how loved she was and how much she loved each of you. It's a beautiful tribute Brandi. Love to you all.

This was my tribute to Gilda that I posted on facebook: December 12, 1969, on my 10th birthday, my oldest brother Jimmy married the love of his life Gilda. They were married for 43 years...Gilda passed away after an 8 year battle with cancer... They were the perfect couple in my eyes:) Jimmy was with her every step of the illness...and there were many steps...Gilda had numerous experimental chemo treatmements that has helped greatly with cancer research...she was the first on many of the studies and would always say "I'm doing this for my girls"...strongest lady I have ever known. She has inspired many...she has made a difference! She leaves a loving husband of 43 years, 2 beautiful daughters, 2  son-in-laws, 3 grandsons and one granddaughter...what a legacy...that big smile and huge heart will forever be with us!

She was so pleasant and sweet it was such a pleasure taking care of her.  She was more like a favorite relative you looked forward to see.

Gilda always had an incredible smile that would light up a room.  She was a joy and a blessing to know.  I always enjoyed catching up with her.  I know she greatly loved and was loved by her family.  I will smile always thinking of her.
