Giuseppe was born in Buenos Aires on September 11, 1930. He was the youngest son of Italian immigrants who relocated to Argentina escaping war torn Europe. Giuseppe began working for the same shipping company his father worked for. Due to his entrepreneurial mentality, he quickly developed and became the Director of Leisure Travel creating processes and systems that allowed for cross-Atlantic travel for individuals onboard the merchant ships of the time. He soon began utilizing his new role as a means to aid in the migration of many Europeans to South America after the second World War. Giuseppe’s biggest love was that of travel. He was lucky enough to be in a position that enabled for this, therefore, during his lifetime he was able to visit most of Europe, Latin America, Middle East, and North Africa, in addition to a few other destinations. Once the shipping company that he worked for many decades for was sold to the State, he decided that it would be better for him to branch off and begin his own wholesale travel agency. He established, managed, and sold multiple travel agencies throughout his time.  Foreseeing an economic downturn in his home country, and given the opportunity for business in the United States, Giuseppe decided to uproot his family and move to Houston where he would spend the rest of his life focusing on his family. Giuseppe passed away on February 23rd, 2019 at the age of 88. He is survived by his wife Maria Gilio, his son Jose Gilio, his daughter Julia Gilio, and his grandchildren Florence Gilio, Leonel Colmenarez, and Luca Gilio.
