Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother

Gladys Helen Parry Cross passed from this earthly realm on February 7th, 2016. She was born in Flushing, New York on August 5th, 1924 to Elved Lewis Parry and Ruby Helen Sinz Parry. Gladys grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she attended Upper Darby High School graduating in 1941 and went on to attend Beaver College, now Arcadia University, graduating in 1945 with a degree in Liberal Arts. Gladys married the love of her life, Robert Earl Cross on September 10th 1949. They raised 3 children in New Canaan, Connecticut. Gladys went to work for Lord and Taylor in Stamford, Connecticut in the 1960’s soon rising to department manager. She soon had her own store, The Dress Barn in Stamford and after her retirement she owned The Mexican Connection fine clothing store in Moultonboro, New Hampshire.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 66 years, Robert Earl Cross, and her 3 daughters, Susan Corbin of Barefoot Bay, FL., Bethanne Cross of Fort White, FL., and Amy Cross of Yuma, AZ, 4 grandchildren, including Erica Pond of Sebastian, FL., who was Glady’s full time caregiver in her late years, and 3 great-grandchildren.
