Glee and Ralph met at the Univ. of WI in Madison.  Smitten with the handsome basketball player, they dated for 4 years before marrying.  Glee's mom, Matie, made her beautiful dress.

Following 7 years of collaboration with Old Sturbridge Village, Glee's seminal work emerges.

Her historic research began in the early 1960s and would continue for 4 decades.  Glee's primary exploration of early New England schools girls and their teachers took place from about 1968 - 1988.  

"A Gallery of American Samplers" is Published - 1978

Thru her close friendship with Ted Kapnek, Glee curated a selection of 100 of his samplers to be loaned to the Museum of American Folk Art.  

This exhibition, A Gallery of American Samplers: The Theodore H. Kapnek Collection truly heightened interest in collecting samplers as an art form.

In 1981, when Ted's collection was made available for sale thru Sotheby Parke Bernet, Glee worked as a consultant with Davida Deutsch and Nancy Druckman.
