Glen Perreras Garabato went home to Our Creator on April 2, 2021 at the age of 62. 

Glen was born to Felix and Gertrudes Garabato on May 6, 1958 in La Paz Iloilo, Philippines. As a child, he grew up in Guimbal, Iloilo Philippines and finished his elementary days in Cebu, Philippines. At the age of 13, he left for the United States with his 2 siblings: Gina and Roni.  He grew up in Vallejo, California. After Graduating from Vallejo High School in 1976, he joined the United States Navy. 

In 1978, he got married in the Philippines to Virgie ( Bayan) Garabato. Glen and Virgie went on to have two kids, Racquel and Elexis. 

Glen had the most passion in teaching and coaching and has touched many lives as a basketball coach, instructor and teacher. His favorite pursuits were cooking, barbequing, dancing, singing, hanging out at the beach and always enjoyed the company of his family and friends. 

Glen retired from the Navy after 18 years of service and moved to the Philippines. 

He is survived by his loving wife, of 42 years, Virgie Garabato, their 2 children, Racquel Marquez and Elexis Garabato; Son in Law Mark Marquez; his loving Mama, Margarita Gilva, Sisters, Gina ( Reider ) Krog of Yuba City; Riza Garabato of Vallejo; Roda ( Ingrid ) Garabato of Los Angeles; Gefe Pfotenhauer of San Ramon; Roni Garabato of Vallejo and his Late Brother Gary Garabato. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces, Jason, Junel, and Josef de la Vega, Reider Krog, Diana ( Fred ) Allison and Tyler Garabato; Grandchildren, Joshua, Micah, Railanna Marquez and Ethan Garabato; Grandnephews, Dane and Jaden Beasley; Grandnieces, Taylor and London de la Vega, Kaelyn Allison and Leilani Cordero. 

His legacy will live in the hearts and minds of everyone he touched and interacted with.
