His Life

My Daddy

November 25, 2013

My Dad was a hard working man, a disciplinarian, you knew if you messed up you were gonna get it when he got home.  But, it has made me who I am today!  ANd now I am grateful for all the punishment I went through to be who I am today.

My Dad worked at Ford Motor Company in Brookpark, Ohio.  For quite a few years until a terible car accident forced him to retire early.  He just steady went down hill through the years after that.

I cherish all the times that we just sat at the coffee table and talked.  Talked about his chldhood in the hills of Sandyhook, Kentucky.  Things were so different when he was growing up.  He met my Mom in Lorain, Ohio while she was visiting with her family.  She was from Dorchester, Virginia.  And so it went they dated about 5 weeks and then got marrried.  My Mom had to keep it a secret and not let her Mom find out.  I always thought that was sad.  People thought they wouldn't make it but they did many years together, they pulled through all the bad times and kept on going.

I Love You, Daddy always and forever!
