This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Glenda Travis. We will remember her forever.

Glenda Ann (Tootie) Travis was born in Banning, California on the 12th of November 1961.  She was the third born child to the late Jessie Ira and Grace Elizabeth Jones.  She graduated from Palm Springs High School, The Home of the Indians in 1980.

She met the love of her life, Terrol (Terry) DeBaun Travis in Killeen, Texas and they married on the 9th of September 1983.

After graduation, she studied at the University of California, Fullerton.  Glenda also served proudly as a civil service worker for the U. S. Army, Wurzburg, Germany and at the VA Hospital at Fort Roots, Arkansas.  She also worked faithfully for the Killeen Independent School District for 9 years.

She graduated from The Agape School of World Evangelism, Agape Church International, Little Rock, Arkansas and was a member of The Christian House of Prayer in Killeen, Texas.  Glenda also attended Shoreline Christian Center in Austin, Texas.

She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.  One of her favorite joys was sharing the gospel to everyone she came in contact with and spending time with her family, especially her two grandsons.

She is survived by her beloved husband, her daughter Jessica Elizabeth Keahey of San Antonio, Texas; grandsons Malakai Azzan Keahey and Israel DeBaun Keahey; sisters Brenda Girardeau of Hope Mills, North Carolina; Linda Davis of Harker Heights, Texas; Patricia (Tracy) Jones of Waipahu, Hawaii; Catherine Gibson of Charlotte, North Carolina; brothers Jessie (Ira) Jones of Salt Lake City, Utah; Mormen Jones of Palm Springs, California and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Mrs. Travis was a very sweet woman. I will always remember the kindness she always showed. My first memory of her was when I stayed the night in middle school for her daughter’s birthday. She was very sweet to us and she continued to express that kindness through the years. The greatest evidence of how a great woman she was is in her daughter. She raised a great daughter. She will be missed. Prayers to the family during this time.

Her Life

The best Grandma ever!

Malakai and Israel LOVE their grandma. She helped raise them to be loving, happy, and protected. She would drive 2+ hours to come see us in San Antonio often and would stay several days to ensure we were all taken cared of. She alwaysprayed over us and would read the Word to her grandsons every night. She was selfless and would drop anything to be with us and see us comfortable...even when she wasn’t. Selfless Mom and Grandma. We love you and thank you.

My Mom...my best friend.

My Mom and I went everywhere together. Since I was a little girl, she ensured I’d have the best childhood. Almost every weekend we would go someplace fun like the swimming pool, Chuck E. Cheese’s, the playground, or the indoor fun gyms. I was always happy because of her. She shown me what motherly love truly meant. She was, and will always be, my best friend.

“Heaven” by Raymond Davis

At the request of my Brother In Law, Glenda's Husband, he would like for me to share with you all where Glenda went because she is not here SHE HAD MADE HER EXODUS this is only her earth suit she left when she Transitioned Into eternity.
When a believer transitions from this natural life to life eternal it is a sudden metamorphosis that takes place Transforming them from this earth suit that encompasses natural laws to that which is eternal, the eternal life which is governed by the Spirit. In the transition period the spiritual sense is totally awakened to matters of the spirit at  which during this journey of life we made choices that prepared us for that which is to come in the life here after.  Our beloved Glenda once she gave her life to God thru Christ Jesus she never looked back and chose to live in faith everyday by abiding and applying the Words Of God To Live By and she Forsake All and Trust God knowing the incentive is eternal life in HEAVEN at which she came to know  sharing God's Goodness will lead many that cross her path to the Kingdom of Heaven.  The coveted eternal life in heaven awaits Glenda and this is what awaits her arrival.
Apostle Paul said The reality of heaven is beyond the ability of finite man to describe (1 Corinthians 2:9).
But here's a glimpse what's in Heaven that Glenda entered into
Glenda entered into God's Rest
Glenda Now See Jesus The Highest Glory
Glenda  will received The Crown of Life
Glenda now have Eternal Life
Glenda is amongst Angelic Company
Glenda now seeing Loved ones who had transitioned trusting God
Glenda is singing Victory Songs
Glenda have No More Sorrows
Glenda will see No Evildoers
Glenda is seeing the Sea of glass like Crystal
Glenda will have her Own Vineyard
Glenda have No Pain, Sickness and Disease never again
Glenda is amongst The Great cloud of witnesses
Glenda is walking in the Garden of Eden restored: The river of the water of life flows freely and the tree of life is available once again.
1.  Heaven has mansions where Glenda will dwell with Jesus - John 14:2-3.
2.  Heaven Will Be A City Built For Worship - Hebrews 12:22-23.
3.  All Nations and People Will Worship Jesus - Revelation 7: 9-10.
4.  Heaven Will Be Filled with Peace, Joy, and Praise - Revelation 7:15-17.
5.  Precious Gemstones will Adorn Heaven - Revelation 21:9-11.
6. Heaven Will have 12 Pearl Gates, Twelve Foundations and Streets of Gold - Revelation 21:22.
7. The Tree of Life in Heaven - Revelation 22:2.
8.  The Light of God in Heaven - Revelation 22:4-5.
"They Shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.  There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light.  And they shall reign forever and ever".
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT
So Glenda has shed her earth suit and transitioned into her eternal abode unto the wonders of heaven.  Glory Be To God.
