I had the pleasure of serving Mr Douglas when he would come to Canex grocery to buy his morning paper. He was so gracious and always had a nice word to say about the day. My husband Bryan was his mailman and had a deep respect for Mr Douglas. We both know he was one in a million a fine Canadian! To Mr Douglas' family our sincerest condolences. Karen and Bryan

A great man and true gentleman! Loved the outdoors and inspired that freedom in myself! An athlete and a hero! My Papa! ❤️

I first met Glenn through the Pembroke Outdoor Sportsman Club and we quickly became friends. He was so open and friendly and was very highly respected within the group. We spent many days together on the River in his boat doing a walleye study and we served together on many committees at the club. Glenn was the complete gentleman. When he lived in Petawawa I often ran into he and Charlotte at Danny's or at my work. My condolences to Charlotte and the family, I will miss Glenn.

I will always remember all of the memories together. Thank you for being such an amazing Grandpa and bringing so much love into our lives.

I will miss you Grandpa Poo. You are an inspiration to me and I will look up to you for the rest of my life.

Thanks for being such a loving and inspirational grandpa, we could always count on you to make us laugh and smile. You'll be missed every day by so many people

Charlotte & family; I grieve with you like I did when I lost Shirley. We enjoyed so many good times and lots of laughs with you & Glenn while you were here in Calgary & since then wherever we met. Glenn was a great guy, loved to entertain & obviously a good husband & father. Cherish the memories!!!! Time heals all they say, but it takes time. Rest in peace Glenn.

We will always remember our great brother in law. A guy that always made you feel welcomed with his great hospitality and warmth. May he Rest In Peace.

From early in my childhood, I enjoyed Uncle Glenn's warm and jovial personality, and I admired his many talents and achievements in sports, outdoor life and business. Most of all, I now treasure the memories of his adventures with my father Blair, from the time they were kids shooting rats in their backyard from the dining room window, to when as distinguished older gentlemen the Douglas brothers would set off together each fall on wilderness treks in search of the elusive deer. During the most recent visit that Dad and I made to Pembroke earlier this year, Glenn still had that spark in his eye, that wry smile and his wonderful sense of humour in spite of his failing health. I will remember him with admiration and love for the rest of my days.

Such a warm and wonderful man who will be sorely missed. Affectionately known as my "Uncle Slug" to my dad's "Uncle Hunky." Rest easy Uncle Glenn.

From ball hockey, to university, to old men being outsmarted by deer - a wonderfull big brother.
