<p>Chuck was born at St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri on April 2, 1949 to Glenn Sommers and Charlotte Cunningham Sommers.   He later had a Step-father, Lyman Smith who was Cullie and Laurie's father.  He has 4 sisters, Kathie Simpson, Denise Finelli, Laurie Roberts and Cullie Pouncey.  He married Ann Davenport whom he met in high school. They have 2 sons, Steve and Scott .  Scott happened to be born on his father's birthday, April 2, 1973. Chuck and Ann's marriage lasted for 44 years. Chuck has a daughter named Alisha.  He has grandchildren named. Heather, Micheal, Travis, Eric, Shealyn, Elisabeth, Allison and B.J.  Chuck joined the Army in July, 1967.  He was classified as Top Security clearance and he was also Airborne.  I would like to mention a very special person in Chuck's Life and that was Brandon Smith.  He thought of him as his other son.  Chuck had always been a Maintenance Mechanic and he was the best.  His last employment was at CKS Packaging in Atlanta, Georgia.  He was very sick the last 3 years of his life but he never complained.  He loved all his family which included the Smith's, Sommers and Davenport's.</p>
