April 1, 2012 Tempe Dragonboat Frstival

April 1, 2016

One of my fondest memories with Glenny was when she came to watch me race in the Tempe Dragonboat Festival.  She was able to meet many of my fellow paddlers, one who was 87 yrs old and tried to recruit Glenny! Everyone loved her spirit and how much interest she had in supporting the team. There was a lot of time between heats which  allowed her to telli me about her travels, one of which I believe was about her trip to Alaska the previous summer. I was always impressed with her sense of adventure and her "go with the flow" attitude. She has truly been and always will be an  inspiration to me. Thank you Leslie for initiating this Memorial site to go to whenever one needs to...

Bocci at eightieth birthday

March 12, 2016

Glen came to visit Bill and Glenda, along with Erin and Quintin for her eightieth birthday.  We all played bocci.  Since I was the little brat and so much younger than the others, I really appreciated the chance to really get to know Glen when we were both living down here in AZ.

Glen saved my life

March 12, 2016

This is the back of the house on 90 Grove Park, Mt Clemens, Michigan where all of the Albee's grew up.  I am showing the back of the house, because that little window near the roof is where I almost fell out.  Glen reached out and caught me by the diaper.

Family Vacations

March 3, 2016

Some of my favorite memories growing up were every summer, even when we could barely afford it, mom insisted that we pile into the family car and take some kind of road trip.  It didn't matter that nearly every meal came out of a can on the side of the road, she only knew it was important for us to explore and experience the world---even if it was just a little ways down the road.  More often than not we were headed for some national park or historic area and I was often awe-struck by the sites we would see.
In later years we took to drinking wine on the patio in some beautiful spot or at home and simply chatting up a storm about anything and everything.  I miss her soo much.
