Gloria Ashley Hayes  07July 1931 - 29 December 2012   The second of eight children born to Edwin and Opal Ashley in Gloversville New York in 1931, Gloria is survived by her son Mark ( Bonomo)  Hayes,  her beautiful grand and great grandchildren of beloved passed daughter Catherine. her sisters Nancy Koski, Charlene Atkins and Valerie Bommarito and many neices and nephews and stepson Manny Hayes.  Gloria loved her children,  beaches,  roses, orchids and her pets Oreo and Mickey.  She was well respected in the Miami and Homestead Florida legal community as a para legal  for 40 years.    Her smile and laughter will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.  Born in the worst years of the great depression she endured a life of challenge, including four marriages,  but still managed to have a smile and blue eyed twinkle for loved ones, friends and strangers.   Our Family and friends will miss her dearly and think of her every day for the rest of our lives.

Just found a photo of Gloria nd Cathy with Gloria's treasured Cadilac. On one visit to her home on the trailer park I was asked, one evening, to barbecue the steaks. The following morning we borrowed the Cadilac. When we got back I noticed a great big hole in the side of her home, where the heat from the barbecue had melted the plastic cladding. I told Gloria there was a slight problem and her immediate response was, "What have you done to my car?" I replied that the car was fine but that there was this huge hole in the side of the house. No problems with that, but I have often wondered what the repsonse would have been if it had been the car I damaged. A very forgiving lady.

Had a new year/retirement party here in England last night with fireworks just like Cathy and I did when we visited Gloria over Christmas and New Year, way back in the 90s. Cathy and I shared so many happy times with Gloria in Miami and even shared hurricane Andrew in 1992. A lovely, kind lady who is still missed.

I have such fond memories of Gloria and my mom (Ruthe). and all the fun they had together. Their happy hours really were so happy! Miami was never the same. Gloria was so real and I always admired her for that. Thank you Gloria for being such a good friend to mom. Love and peace to you Mark. You always have an extended family in Orlando.

You were a wonderful friend, a great role model, due to your impecable work ethics, and my health advocate at the time of my near fatal accident in 1983, when you spoke up for me and got me the best of medical care. As I write this, I feel you are looking at me, and you know you were deeply loved. You remain in my heart, my thoughts, and my prayers.

I thank the Lord for allowing me the privilege to know, love, and be a friend to Gloria the past two years through Hart Felt Ministries.  I miss her already and treasure the time we had together. Her love for her precious children, family, pets, and friends brought great joy in her life. "Later, Gator!" as she would say....I'll see you on the other side of eternity!

I had the good fortune of working with Gloria for many years and employing her for a short time. She had a brilliant legal mind and a great pleasure to work with. I have always remembered her fondly and know that she will be missed dearly. Please know that the family is in my thoughts and prayers. I know that Gloria is resting comfortably with God.

Grandma, you've been like a life line for me since my mum, your daughter, passed. I just wish I could have made it across the pond to see you sooner. We were so close, yet so far away. I will never forget the few precious times we spent with you and how we survived Andrew together. Forever in my heart, kiss my Mum for me. I hope you're having a good old giggle together. X

Dear Gloria....my friend, mentor and Lamborgini of the real estate business. There was no other like you! I treasure the time we went to see Harry Connick Jr. in concert and the many, many years we worked together. Rest in peace my sweet friend.

To my oldest sister Gloria: I will miss our phone chats over the past few years. Our last visit together Sunday morning 12/23 with you and Mark lingers in my mind. It was very special and I am grateful for that memory. Your son is a very special human being and I know why you were very proud of him. I believe our family will ALL be rejoined in peace and harmony one day. Love, Nancy

Mom. Oh Mom... I dont think a child will ever appreciate a parent so much as when they are gone...never to receive another birthday card, or silly halloween card....Or mystery easter baskets in the driveway from "the easter bunny" . Thank you mom...for giving me life, love and all that I need in this journey of life. I'll do my best to honor your memory and love.

Gloria & I had such fun together. I was her care giver for almost a year. Whenever we went to the grocery store she'd talk me into having a raspberry filled donut (actually we each had two)! We laughed a lot. She shared many stories of her daughter & son. She was a wonderful Mom. She was a treasure and will be missed.

Gloria was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. Always had such kind words for everyone and always smiling. You will be missed by so many friends and family. You are finally resting in peace.

Dear Gloreee, You are one of my oldest and dearest friends. The only one I had left from our great days in Miami and I will really miss you. I still remember the weekly poker games we had and ther havoc we sometimes caused. Rest in peace and please give Art a kiss from his mom when you see him.
love, Rutheeee
