ForeverMissed

This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Gloria Jean Erdman, 61, born on October 9, 1951 and passed away on August 17, 2013. We will remember her forever.

"I am home in Heaven, dear ones; Oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, Every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, Safely home in Heaven at last. Did you wonder I so calmly trod the valley of the shade? Oh! but Jesus' love illumined every dark and fearful glade. And He came Himself to meet me in that way so hard to tread; and with Jesus' arm to lean on, could I have one doubt or dread? Then you must not grieve so sorely, for I love you dearly still; try to look beyond earth's shadows, pray to trust our Father's Will. There is work still waiting for you, so you must not idly stand: do it now, while life remainth - you shall rest in Jesus' land. When that work is all completed, He will gently call you Home; oh, the rapture of that meeting, oh, the joy to see you come!

A Thank you to Gloria

August 27, 2013

A dear friend of mine has passed on to her great reward.

You may not know her personally but you do know her through my coaching.

She was one of the first to volunteer when I needed to practice my new skills as a coach. She came to my house for 6 months and remarked to another friend that she noticed I got better over time.

She was my "go to" person when I needed someone to help me with car service, or wanted company when I was going shopping or needed help driving 8 hours up to my cottage.  She was always game to help another - I wonder if she knew how much it meant to me? Did I ever tell her?

She was the "glue" that held our Monday night Supper Club together.  She loved the social aspect of getting together with people every week and offered her house freely when it wasn't convenient for others.

When you read my e-book, you probably don't experience her support but it's there.  We went to Florida together to a small timeshare condo that we have on the Beach.  I wanted company on the trip but also wanted to get my e-book finished.  She said "sure" and off we went.
She walked the beach and made friends and met everyone by the pool while I sat inside writing most of the day.  She'd ask me how much I'd gotten done - she held my feet to the fire until I finished the book.  We celebrated over dinner.....she made me feel as thought I'd written a best seller instead of a give-away for my website.

Her legacy to me is her joy....her willingness to step out into the world and not have it all figured out....to be of service to others and to help them out in whatever capacity she could.

Oh dear friend...how I will miss you!
