Gloria Sharp Hayes, also known as “Kookie” was born on November 3, 1957 in Dayton, Ohio. She was later moved to Birmingham, AL where she was raised by her parents, the late Jerry and Frances Sharp, Sr. She remained in Birmingham until young adulthood when she later moved to California where she resided until 2001 when she returned to her roots of Bessemer, AL and remained until her death on October 14, 2020.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories:
A Life Partner: Alfred Moore of Bessemer, AL;
Two Siblings: One brother, Jerry (Bridget) Sharp, Jr. of Pleasant Grove, AL; and one sister, Valerie (Fred) Johnson also of Pleasant Grove, AL
Six Daughters: Nikecha Sams of Vacaville, CA; Carlena Turner of Bessemer, AL; Jasmane Hayes of Hercules, CA; Jameka Hayes of Homewood, AL; Andrea Hayes of Huntsville, AL; and Angel Hayes of Bessemer, AL
Three Grandchildren: Ariyen, Caiyden, and Alana
Nieces and Nephew: Three nieces:LaTosha Sharp of Bessemer, AL; Audrey Sharp of South Carolina; Charla Sharp of Pleasant Grove, AL; one nephew: E. Jamar Carson of Huntsville, AL; and two great nieces:Rayven Sharp of Pleasant Grove, AL and Angela Burney of Bessemer, AL.
Gloria also leaves to cherish her memories a host of other relatives and friends.
