.Gloria LaJean (Harney) Crum “Cookie”, age 89 of Dayton, Ohio was born August 28, 1929 in Clarksdale, MS to the late Sanders and Lubertha Durham. Gloria graduate from High School in Clarksdale and attended Coloma Community College. She retired from Inland a division of General Motors after 20 years of service. Gloria accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized as a child in Clarksdale. She later joined Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church and became a long time member and served as a Deaconess. During later years she worshipped with her sons at Omega Baptist Church.

Gloria was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She had a contagious laugh, laughed all the time and was always joyful. God then family came first and was the center of her life. Gloria was easy going and soft spoken but she became a powerful force when challenged. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed traveling with her husband and shopping,

On Tuesday, December 18, 2018 Gloria “Cookie” Crum transitioned from this life to be in the presence of the Lord. She was also preceded in death by; her husband, Willie B. Crum, son Harry “Butch” Crum; (2) brothers, Henry and Sonny Durham; (1) sister, Emma Allen and granddaughter, Ida McClendon.

Gloria leaves to cherish and celebrate her life; (2) loving and devoted sons, Frederick Tyrone Crum and Otis “Jackie” Crum; (10) grandchildren, Chantay, Shabocka, Schnett, Damon B., Tasha, LaToya, Angel, Damon A., LaTasha and Terra; (32) great grandchildren and (3) great, great grandchildren; (1) sister, Dora Harris; a host of other family members, church family and friends
