I WAS A STUDENT OF MR. CROMPTON IN FRENCH CLASS IN WILDWOOD IN THE EARLY 1970'S. I WAS VERY SADDENED TO HEAR OF HIS EARLY PASSING SO LONG AGO. FRENCH WAS A MOST DIFFICULT SUBJECT FOR ME, HOWEVER, MR. CROMPTON MADE IT SEEM SO EASY AND NATURAL. I THROUGHLY ENJOYED HIS CLASSES SO MUCH THAT FRENCH BECAME MY FAVORITE SUBJECT.  I OFTEN THINK OF MY DAYS IN FRENCH CLASS. I WAS SO INSPIRED BY MR. CROMPTON THAT I CONTINED TO STUDY FRENCH AFTER HIGH SCHOOL. GOD BLESS YOU, MR. CROMPTON . LONG MAY YOUR MEMORY LIVE   QUE DIEU TE BENISSE, MR. CROMPTON. QUE TA MEMOIRE VIVE LONGTEMPS.

Mr. Crompton, I owe you so much. You challenged me, and pushed me , and without you I might never have made it through high school. Your encouragement as a teacher and a drama coach helped me hang on through one of the darkest depressions of my life, and I believe I survived long enough to be diagnosed largely because of you. I'm glad I found this page so that I can say goodbye at last.

Where could I possibly begin and end! Gordon and I were best friends while teaching in Wildwood. We were typically together 24-7 in good and not so good times... A hugh void in my life will never be replaced-nor would I want it to be replaced.
