"Constance Grace Cocuzza, 98, of Neptune, passed away peacefully at her home on September 9, 2016. Born in Newark she resided in Irvington for many years before retiring to Neptune. She graduated from West Side High School and obtained a Nursing Degree. She married the love of her life while working at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. during WWII. She resumed her Nursing career upon returning to Newark. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and the sweetest grandma. Constance was a talented, creative woman, and an artist and poet at heart. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, knitting, and listening to Frank Sinatra. She played the guitar, cello and piano, and had a beautiful singing voice. She sang well into her 90's to everyone's delight. She was the consummate homemaker and loved to cook and bake for her family. Her true pride and joy was her family and spending time with them. Constance was a devout Catholic and very patriotic. She was a member of the 'Greatest Generation.' A Generation like no other. She will be enormously missed by her family. She was a member of the Neptune Senior Citizens Center and the Women's Auxiliary of the VFW/DAV. She was predeceased by her loving husband Anthony Cocuzza, parents Lawrence and Marie (Jacangelo) Russomanno, brother Lawrence Russomanno, and a sisters Lucy Pacchia and Elizabeth Mita. Survivors include: daughter Ruthann, son August, grandson Lawrence, and grandchildren Melissa, Danny, and Stephanie, her sister Lucille Pacchia, and brothers: Anthony (Cynthia) Russomanno and Jerry (Clare) Russomanno, many loving nieces and nephews, and ex-daughter-in-law Amelia.
