Mummy, Mummy. What can one say of a loving and selfless Mother and Aunt? You were a mother not only to your biological children, but also to many of us your nieces and nephews. Many of us did not understand you while we were growing up, for we saw you as critical and hard. But now as an adult, I look back and I saw you did everything with a pure heart. You actually loved us and wanted us to turn out right and be perfect. The harshness tbat we thought we saw was actually love as was characteristic of all the Aloba girls at varying degrees, my mother inclusive. You wanted things done in proper order and was frustrated whenever any of us erred. Thank you for the impact you had on us all. Your home was open to any of your nieces and nephews and even extended family members whenever they needed a place to stay. Thank you for introducing me to the Lord Jesus at the tender age of 8yrs. I recall I was in charge of prayers every Wednesday, no matter how I did it. I promise to keep to the straight and narrow path till the end, The Lord helping me. I cannot also but mention the love that existed between you and your siblings. It's worthy of emulation. The last time I visited you in London, the only thing you said to me was 'eye re siko, meaning ' how is yourMum?' Continue to rest in peace Mum. We will always love you.
