Grace was married to Leyshon Richard Owens. Together they had 4 children; Lois, Ritchie, Dennis & Mark. I remember her always being so full of happiness and life. When I would go with my dad to Florida to see her she would always have a fresh coloring book and new box of crayons waiting for me. We would sit around the kitchen table and talk and laugh. 

I would run to her for quarters for the gimbal machine that my papa had in the living room that was filled with marbles and then papa and I would flick the marbles all over the floor as grandma would worry about a slipping hazard. 

I loved watching her cook, she always made the most comforting meals. As she would be in the kitchen my papa and dad would be in the garage I would bounce back and fourth between papa and grandma just watching them both. 

I was a daddy’s girl and papas girl, but NOTHING beats the comfort and love and security I felt sitting on my grandmas lap at night after a bath in my jammies cuddling with her. 

In 2005 she lost her husband and her best friend. Ironically enough she passed away on his birthday. After 16 years they are finally together again.
