The daughter of the late Isaac, Sr. and Josephine Wyman Guest, Mrs. Batts was born in Brunswick, GA. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church where she served diligently for over 40 years. An educator for 37 years, Mrs. Batts taught English at Rothschild Middle School in the Muscogee County School District for 32 years. She was a member of the Georgia Educators Association, Georgia Retired Educators Association, and Muscogee County Educators Association. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 267 Women's Affiliation and was an Eastern Star, Prince Hall Affiliation.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, MSG (Retired) Aubrey M. Batts; and two sisters, Hazel Guest and Rena Guest.

Survivors include: her daughters, LTC (Retired) Rena Marie Batts Elmore (LTC Retired Hugh) and Audrey Batts Watson (Tim); two grandchildren, Aubrey Grace Watson and Bella Marie Watson; a brother, Isaac Guest, Jr.; a sister, Huretta Wright; beloved niece, Eddie Craig; beloved nephews, Isaac Guest, III and Aaron Guest, Sr.; a host of other nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
