26th March came and I thought about you. Leaving the next day for a road trip with our Rogan and his dog (who did not know about the impending moving-kennel experience). When we were out at dinner with baby him sitting up like an adult and we saw teenagers with their parents we smiled at each other and said "yep, that's going to be us in a few years - won't that be cool." And now he is cool, but you are not here to enjoy any of it and I feel a bit lost as a single parent. No trips down memory lane for us now - it all has to happen in my head and heart. A visit to Pete and Dee brought him back to Serendipity where he had spent some lovely time. Pete beaming at the adult Rogan talking and reminding him so fondly of you, one of his best friends. We all took a moment to remember you in our own ways and for me some of the things that might have been. Miss you. Neecey

Sitting in the sun like a lizard soaking up the rays, realising it was today that you left us. Ridiculous hot weather in Winter, more like our Bowen days than our Whangarei ones. No socks or gloves here. Our friends Pete and Dee have just set off on a nostalgic sailing trip up north covering all the places they motored in the Wombat. I wish you were still around to share some of our own nostalgia. When I am 65 next week I will come together with our Bowen friends to celebrate that I am still standing. We will toast you again and remember our times together. Miss you, Neecey.

Your 70th birthday today. Just returned from NZ, the amazing scenery and peacefulness. I know that you are part of Nature over there now breathing in and out with the giant landscape. Lovely, clear and certainly alive. What a place and what an adventure we had there at Hill Street. My heartfelt thanks for the times we had together and for making Rogan with me. Neecey

A candle for you today. In the freezing cold at Bundanoon, lighting the fire. A lovely memory of our fires together in NZ. Be at peace.

Your birthday today Graham. Almost 70. In the last few days I have met up with our boatie friends, Nancy, and Pete and Dee. We shared what now seem to be amazing stories of those times. We were so lucky to have created that adventure that led to many new friends and out-of-the-ordinary experiences - building a boat, sailing up the coast, living the life of gypsies in a tent after the boat was sold, AND all with baby Rogan in tow. What were we thinking! We toasted you as the link in our lives. They are lovely friends and without your singular goal of building a boat, we would not have met. Happy birthday from us all, Sharpie, builder of Slow Hand.....
