Hey Meema. It’s been a long time since i’ve thought about you. i miss u so much and i remember coming over and having Christmas under the big tree and drinking hot chocolate in those mugs with the disney characters in the bottom while Peepaw was making his pancakes in the kitchen. A lot has happened since u left us. I know things would be so much better if u were here. I remember u sewing a batman costume for me. it kept tearing because i would never take it off. i remember the smell of your house as soon as i entered the doorway. i remember the white and red checkered chair you had in front of the tv. I remember getting scared after watching candyman and coming to sleep in between you and peepaw. you would be 64 now. i know you were the glue holding the Serage family together. I don’t really talk to my parents anymore. or peepaw. i guess he’s moved on. I know things would be different if you were down here with us. I have peace in knowing this all a part of God’s plan. I miss u so much Meema. sleep good. i love you ~your grandson

Happy birthday.
Hope you are having a wonderful day.
I keep screwing up down here without you and I could use your advice. Not sure that you would be proud of me or not. I miss you so much. You were always my partner - in crime, in hysterical moments, in scary moments, in more fun than should be allowed moments...
I will keep trying to get it right... until we meet again

I can't believe seven years have gone by without you here. I'm not sure how I've held on. I know you loved so many people and so many people love you but still I feel that you and me were the only ones - you and me against the world. You were my world for sooooo many years and I still can't think about you without crying (some tears of joy but mostly tears of missing you so much it makes everything hurt). I miss you so much. Until we met again I will try to keep going.

"One year ago today this world experienced a huge void while at the same time our hearts felt as though they would surely burst from the pain of learning you were no longer physically with us. I thank God that in knowing you are with Him, that I know I will see you again! Having that beautiful assurance I am able to think of only the best of times with you - my favorite memory?"

My favorite memory of you? The way you would walk into a room and look everyone in the eye as if to say, "I'm here now. Y'all can start!" in you, Gregory, I found a girl after my own heart. Thank you for being my friend.

Song on the Wind (Part 3 of 6)
If she could, she'd grin that grin of hers,
That crinkled up her eyes.
That somehow owned a twinkle,
She never could disguise.

Gregory's creative talent is displayed throughout her home. She placed wind chimes near the entrance of the Serage home. Upon seeing them I was reminded of the poem Song on the Wind. Her ability to create beauty is my fondest memory of my sister.

I remember two little sweatshirts that been appliqued and painted with the names of our two oldest daughters.. made by their Aunt Gregory. That exemplifies the kind of person Gregory was, caring and creative. She touched many and in the end sacrificed her own life helping another.

Things we love about Gregory

October 11, 2011

Things we remember and love about Gregory:

Her beauty---inside and out, her sweet, giving heart, her incredible talents, her creativity, Gammy's "Angel", her wonderful laugh, Her becoming upset as a little girl when her Uncle Bob and Uncle Artie told her that she was so beautiful that some day she would be in the Miss America Padgent---close to tears she said, "I don't want to be up on that stage!"

Our entire family will miss our GiGi!  She was a precious blessing to this world.

The Best Sister God Ever Made

No matter how stupid I was or how stupid I acted she always loved me. Gregory was the life of everything!!  I never realized how much I could miss her and I know I took her for granted.  I will cherish her memory forever.
