Greg grew up as the middle child of seven kids: John, Eugene, Richard, Gregory, Dennis, Marie, and Peter. His parents were George and Marcella (Leis) Hemgesberg. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Marcella, and brothers John and Eugene. Greg was married to Deborah (Miller) for 32 years. He had three adult children: Doug (Amanda), Marcie, and Brian (Savanah). Of them, he had five grandchildren: Aiden, Lillian, Emilly, Ella, and Nick.
