A Man's Man
To anyone that knew Greg you know he was remarkable in so many ways. He lived his life to the fullest and touched so many people during his time here with us. We all have memories we will carry with us - memories that defined Greg, memories we will always hold dear.
There many valued and meaningful roles Greg played. First and foremost, there was Greg, the family man. He loved his family unconditionally and unselflessly. He was a devoted husband, father, son and brother. He was also a devoted and loving Uncle, Nephew, cousin and friend to many.
Greg took all of these roles to heart and he strove to honor, support, and guide and most importantly, love his family. He was at his happiest when he was surrounded by his family. His devotion to his family was the foundation of his actions - the anchor that defined and shaped his life.
Greg was someone who could be counted on and depended on always. Whether you needed sound advice, a shoulder to lean on, someone to lounge with, watch movies, try a new restaurant or recipe - he was your man. Ready, willing and good fun. He was such a character, full of quick wit, charm and the uncanny ability to make everyone feel special even if he had just met them.
As you all know Greg biggest opponent in life was his 14 year battle with cancer. This was the true test of his character and he continually rose to the challenge with amazing strength, perseverance and courage. His hope never waivered even with the physical pain of chemotherapy, the bitter disappointment of failed treatments and the anxiety for the future. Even in his most weakened state he never stopped caring for others and always did his best to maintain a smile, a laugh, a humorous anecdote, or to share one of his many tips on life; that mainly being “Life’s a Trip”.
So to everyone, always rememeber Greg as a brave man. He had a big heart. He taught all of us facing challenges that there is always hope and that every moment of life is precious.
WE were all so lucky to know him!
