Gregory Preece Lawton, 65, a resident of Creedmoor passed away Thursday, March 29th 2012 at his home.
He was born in Fall River, Mass. but was a resident for many years in Lowell, Mass. He was the son of the late Chester Arthur and Marion Crossly Lawton. He previously worked for the postal service before moving to North Carolina.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 3rd 2012 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor. Burial will be at a later date in Ohio.
Surviving are his wife of thirty years, Rosalie “Rose” Lawton of the home, two daughters, Kelly Miller and Lisa Young of Ohio, four grandchildren, Eric and Sarah Miller and Griffin and Ethan Young, a sister, Lynn Raposa and a brother, Geoffrey Lawton, both of Massachusetts.
Visitation 1:00-2:00 PM Tuesday, April 3rd prior to the memorial service at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor.

How about driving back East in Dad's Impala; 4 of us in the back sheet, you and I start to hysterically laugh, no filters on that day.........Dad was impatient with us to say the least.
