Greg was a good athlete. He played basketball and ran track at Leavitt Area HIgh School in Turner. I have one memory that stands out. One Sunday afternoon, after dinner in Leeds, all the Waite and Enos boys, plus myself, went up to the gymnasium at the old Monmouth Academy. We played 3-on-3 fullcourt basketball, up and down the court, for about 2 hours until we dropped. I can't remember the exact pairings, but it seems like it was Sam Jackson, Michael Enos and me against Greg, Stanley Waite and David Brackett. What fun!

Uncle Greg, words cannot express how much we loved you and what you meant to us. You played an integral part in making Texas our forever home. Thank you for your love and unwavering support in all aspects of our lives. Your love and care for Snoden created a sacred bond that we will cherish forever. Snoden thought of you as another Grandfather. But we know that this is not the end, our shared faith assures us we will be united again. Until that time, know that we love you and promise to take care of Uncle John.
