TRIBUTE TO MY BOSS, BROTHER, FRIEND, AND MENTOR :
GP CAPT SO OGUNBAMERU DSS psc mni.
A TIME FOR EVERYTHING.
There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heaven. A time to be born and a time to die- Eccl 3v1-2. The sad news of your transition to glory on that Sunday afternoon left me destabilized, devastated, and detached. It was shocking and hard to take in because there were no signs of it. The only surprise was that I didn't receive your usual Sunday morning spiritual text messages. It will be difficult to shake it out of my systems because you were the unseen hand that nurtured, guided and protected me while in the Service of the NAF. More so that we belonged to the same Intelligence Speciality where I served under your Command and tutelage. Boss, according to your name you were born on a Sunday and God decided to close your eyes in death on a Sunday. The question I asked myself on hearing the news of your demise was, was it an accident or sickness that I wasn't aware of? A happenstance or it was ordained? When I came to the realization that you were born on a Sunday, then I concluded that God ordained it that you come home to him on His excellent day of rest and true to your name. To me you have gained heaven because you were the chosen Son of the Most High. Who are we to query his decision? Blessed be the name of the Lord. Boss, you were an epitome of humility, humanness, gentility, kindness, generosity, and pillar support. Whoa, a good man has gone to be with his Creator. With your untimely exit, I lost a brother, friend, and a very good countryman at it's very BEST. Your death shook me to my bones and troubled my soul which brought me teary eyes as I write this tribute. I would miss your wise counselling and evangelism through your daily messages. Oga Sir, there is much to say about you but permit me to bid you final farewell at this juncture. May the Lord go ahead to place your soul in a comfort Zone of heaven where you will join His Angels to sing * Hallelujah Chorus because you were an Angel in human clothing. May God cover your errors while here on earth and colour your efforts with him in paradise. May we be consoled and comforted by God. I thank you immensely Sir for your labour of love for me and my family. Titi laiye lao ma se iranti Olododo. My Egbon, D godfather, this Prince Mojibade of Osooroland as you fondly called me would sorely miss u and dearly too. May The Heavens blaze your glory and accept your kind and amiable soul. Sleep on my beloved Boss, Brother, and Friend. Adieu my ever smiling, jovial and jolly good fellow
